Today’s post comes from Safraz Ali of OFS Screens in Trinidad-Tobago.
Safraz recently completed a nine screen job, complete with four beautiful printed screens.
Here’s what Safraz had to say about the project:
“As I entered my client’s home, I realized there was a peacock theme going on. The client’s mom LOVES peacock, and just by opening my folder and setting out my sample peacock print from Rainier, this job was sold!
They were looking for screens for one part of the house because it is all glass and located at the top of their house. I talked and talked and talked my way into selling some screens here, but the peacock prints sold themselves.”
Printed screens have been showcased on our dealer blog before, and we received several questions about printing, so here’s a little more information for the curious minded :-)
We’ve been printing screens for commercial applications for some time, calling them “AdShades” – blending our expertise in screens and high quality signage. In many cases, depending on local code requirements, sign permits can be avoided, because the graphic or signage is not permanently attached to the building.
With an idea, photo, or art file to work with, our design team can set up an image to print on one of our Durst Rho printers, using environmentally friendly UV inks. Rainier’s printers have white ink printing capabilities, which looks great on the darker colored mesh fabrics that many of our clients choose for their screen systems.
Across our dealer network and in our retail screen business in the Pacific Northwest, more homeowners have been taking advantage of our screen printing capabilities to add unique and beautiful artwork to their homes. Some choose beautiful outdoor landscapes so they can have a great outdoor view 24/7, and others prefer an image of something meaningful to them, like an animal or (as is the case for Safraz’s client) a peacock feather!
