Spotlight on Customer Service
David Jacobs, or DJ as he is known around the office, manages Rainier’s Awning Division. He works closely with our engineering department, metal and fabric shops to make sure every awning manufactured at Rainier is up to par. Before he started working here, DJ was the managing director for a non-profit focused in West Africa. During his eleven years there, he managed offices in the USA, UK, Canada, Sierra Leone and Ghana, and travelled to various other countries working with both religious and governmental leaders. DJ is involved with his local church, and he and his wife run a missions/relief organization focused in Mexico which they founded in 2004. In his spare time, he enjoys cruising Puget Sound in his boat, and spending time with his two children and four grandkids.
John Schneider is our Install Manager, and is responsible for scheduling installations and service calls for our customers. He started working here as an installer three years ago, and has spent time working in our shipping department, as product control coordinator, and as a lead in our screen division. He is a representative on the safety committee, and trains new employees on how to operate the forklift, boom lift, as well as on our Quality Management System. John is always excited to be involved with the beautiful pieces of work Rainier manufactures, but his favorite part about his job is working alongside his wife, Christina, who works in our accounting department. In his off time, John is a huge sports fan, especially of football, baseball, hockey, and poker, and enjoys spending time with his family, including two teenage sons and a daughter on the way. He looks forward to continuing to grow in his current position, and providing the excellent customer service that Rainier has come to be known for in our 114 years of business.
