SRS - Does the world really need another acronym?
Probably not, but were kinda stuck with this one...
Exterior screens became a passion of our design and manu-craftering team when they realized how much cooler they could make them (and you) – hence the Side Retention Screen was born.
And like any good group of nerds, they decided to get creative – and called it the SRS.
The SRS screen sold really well, because it is the BEST screen system on the market. (This taught the marketing department a lesson – build the best and the name really doesn’t matter.)
Now its a recognized brand in the industry… so we’re stuck with it.
The SRS is also a great product to tell the story about the construction of a screen – and if there’s one thing we’ve learned, everyone loves a great story.
We think the best part is how we were able to pool our design and engineering knowledge and create a screen that meets not only our expectations – but more importantly yours.

Over 500lbs of pressure, unevenly distributed over just three small points.
It’s no wonder the SRS can be left down when the wind blows.
While the other guys will sell you a wind sensor to retract screens in moderate wind – we decided to just build the product right in the first place.
We’ve field tested our screens in winds up to 75 miles per hour (while the wind sensor’s max setting is 28mph).
The SRS screen is designed to keep the screen mesh stable and allows for worry-free use of your screen, even in high wind conditions.

Effectively reduce heat, and your reliance on traditional air conditioning, with an SRS screen. Research has shown that an exterior shading system can reduce cooling costs up to 60%.
Our screens are designed to filter out UV rays that otherwise pass through window glass. You’ll be able to preserve your outdoor view while reducing glare and protecting your valuable home furnishings from fading.

The SRS screen has the additional benefit of being insect proof. To fully enclose your living area from pesky bugs, we add a brush on the hem bar for a seal along the bottom of the system.
And our exclusive Screen Clean feature, built into the housing of your screen, brushes bugs and debris off the screen mesh, preventing pests from entering your home or nesting in the housing.

State of the Art Technology

A whisper quiet motor and an intelligent remote control, what more could a guy want?
The SRS comes standard with a motor, so you don’t have to manually raise or lower the screen using a hand crank. We feature motors and controls manufactured by Somfy, the world leader in tubular motors.
We offer a variety of control options and can interface with existing home automation systems. We’ve found that homeowners who purchase a motorized screen system use their screens more and are less likely to experience damage (from being left down in bad weather, or from to rolling up the screen in the wrong direction, for example).

Simplified Installation
No bracket required…
In an effort to keep installation simple, no brackets are needed to install the housing or side tracks.
It’s easy to attach to a wall or soffit – and keeps unwanted insects from nesting between brackets and the housing.

Colors
The SRS is available in 10 standard frame colors; custom colors are available to allow you to match your specific color scheme. Every screen is built to order with powder coating done in-house, resulting in a beautiful appliance-like finish that requires minimal maintenance.
Solar Powered Motor
Forget the wires – a solar panel can be mounted on the screen’s housing which converts the sun’s into electrical power.
The harnessed electrical power is stored in a special Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery which powers your motorized screen.
The result? A maintenance-free and environmentally friendly alternative that saves you money!
Sun Sensor
This wireless sun sensor is powered with an integrated solar
cell to automatically lower a screen based on the sun’s
intensity. Its wireless and compact design makes it an easy addition
to any screen, and can create a comfortable space for you to enjoy any time.
Home Automation
Motorized screens powered by Somfy seamlessly integrate with home automation systems so that you can control lighting, HVAC, AV, and security systems with one device.
Control your motorized screen(s) with Somfy’s TaHomA – a Total Home Automation system. TaHomA allows users to control, schedule, and monitor a variety of products, and efficiently optimizes the interaction of natural and artificial lighting, as well as heating and cooling, according to users’ personal preferences, which saves time, energy and money.
