Our doors are full sized 36” X 80” and built with thermal insulated Low-E, double pane glass windows - not single pane Plexiglas that scratches easily and yellows over time. We have a variety of door choices, including: solid wood doors for privacy, our popular half-light door, and full light doors to maximize your view and natural lighting. Reason #1: Snow Load Engineering

Rainier yurts are built tough! They are engineered to meet the International Building Code and feature the thickest, strongest lattice in the industry. We utilize Machine Stress Rated (MSR) Douglas Fir in our rafters with a 2,400 rating in bending stress – 40% stronger than standard fir. No other yurt will stand up to the snow and wind conditions like a Rainier yurt!

Reason #13: Eagle Blocks for Higher Snow Loads

Rainier yurts can withstand the most severe conditions by adding some of our innovative upgrades. Ring-to-Rafter Clips securely bond the rafters to the compression ring to prevent rafter rotation and increase vertical shear loads; Eagle Blocks between rafters enhance rafter strength and stabilize the roof system. Vertical posts at rafter ends add to the load capacity of the lattice wall.
